New to Cantha - Guild Wars Forums

I'm a long time Prophecies player and recently got a chance to pick up the factions campaign. I did the initial quest to take my new (not level 20 yet) tyrian born character over to Cantha and completed it. I ended up in Vizunah Square (foreign quarter) but it was completely empty. I'm confused. I've searched GuildWiki & many other guild wars sites and forums before finally deciding to post here. My question is simple. How do I get to the shing jea monastery so that I can do the missions in the order they belong in? Thanks for reading. =)

You need to get to the Marketplace south from Kaineng Center and then go to the Kaineng docks from the Marketplace I believe

From Kaineng Center, head south- it was an easy run on even my monk. After a few minutes, you will end up in The Marketplace. Head west(?) out of there and you will end up at a small dock- talk to the dockhand and he will take you to Seitung Harbor. Head west out of there and follow the trail to end up in Shing Jea Monestary. The only problem (/sarcasm) you will encounter here are level 5-8 mantids.

Just a warning- you cannot do any of the quests on Shing Jea Island. If you want protector title, do the missions, but I would just beat the foreign quarter to move on.

Actually I think you're doing it right - doing that mission is your primary goal as a tyrian born char.

But there are a lot of quest you get in Kaineng that requires you to go south of Kaineng to the Marketplace (more exactly they are in Wajjun Bazaar).

You don't even wanna go to the Shing Jea Island there is nothing there for you to do (actually there is ONE quest, but don't bother).

Getting the Explorer Title would be a good reason for going there. Relatively easy exp to reach level 20 is another reason. :P

Yeah, Tyrian characters fo to the Foreign Quarter of Vizunah Square, if you're Canthan born, you'll find that you will wne up in the Local Quarter. When in the mission thw two teams, one from the local and one from the foreign quarter will meet up and then the 16-strong team just need to plough their way through pounds and pounds of afflicted flesh. Mmm, meaty!

If you have lots of problems with finding players in the Foreign Quarter, since I know it can be really quite empty sometimes, I'd be glad to help... Add one of the names under my avatar to your friends list and contact me if you need extra players. If I'm free I'll most likely give you a hand since I find Vizunah Square really quite fun!
